Bondi.Directory exists because the best advice about Bondi has always been word of mouth. We just wrote it down.

Who we are

Bondi.Directory is an independent local guide to Bondi Beach, Sydney, published by Directory.com.au Pty Ltd (ABN 68 090 816 461), a small Sydney company that runs a family of local guides and directories. The site is researched, written and kept up to date by people who live in and around the Eastern Beaches.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Waverley Council, any tourism body or any of the businesses we list.

How we decide what to list

  • We go. Every café, break, studio and stay in our guides is somewhere we have been, or that a local we trust keeps recommending.
  • Nobody can buy a ranking. Our editorial picks are made on merit. Paid placements are always labelled Featured and never change the order of our editorial lists.
  • We keep it short. Six great picks beat sixty mediocre ones. If a place closes or slips, it comes off the list.
  • We correct quickly. Spotted something wrong or out of date? Tell us through the contact form and we will fix it, usually within a couple of days.

How we make money

The guide is free to read and always will be. Two things keep the lights on:

  • Affiliate links. Some links in our Stays & Tours section and any link marked Featured are affiliate links. If you book through them we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Full details are in our affiliate disclosure.
  • Featured listings. Local businesses can pay for a labelled Featured placement. Standard listings for independent local businesses are free. Add yours here.
